Getting started with netmeeting

Not sure if this is the right area, but I am wanting to use net meeting, to contact with sombody in UK. I've got winXP and she has winME. Can anybody tell me if they are compatable for video/audio? Thanks Alan.

havent used Windows ME much but whatever OS it might be, Netmeeting is compatible. Download it, if its not bundled with the ME.

Btw, you will have to give your IP address to her or vice versa, before you start collaborating.

Thanks, we have exchanged IP'S & tried everything we know but can't connect. Can send written messages but no voice/video. Alan.

Check the following :

- Is any one of you behind a firewall ???
- Are you working on low internet bandwidth??

If answer is "Yes" to any of these, it might not work out.

So why not use MSN Messenger instead, it will run on anything, and its free, or even better, use 'Skype' with video, also free.....?????
