That'll make a very good second computer and the 160 gig hard drive
will be a big help, if you are limping along with the original 40 gig.

"One thing that is immediately noticed upon opening up the Dimension 2400 is that it lacks much future expansion room. Specifically, there is no place to add an extra hard disk, unless you were to jury-rig one onto the spare 5.25" drive bay. "

        drive brackets?

Well I just kept the old HD as a paper weight I think it was going out it made a whining noise that drove me up the wall. I knew I was over my head so I didn't bother to try and install the new HD so I took it down to Bestbuy at 8pm last night and the Geek Squad had it done at 10am this morning runs great and it cost me $107 It's not a bad price it kept me from having a bigger paper weight
