    Activate Cool'n'Quiet?

Anonymez, I know you use this with your dual core. Is it worth activating with a Athlon 64 3700?

How does it know when to slow down? Does is slow down when using he Internet and small jobs. Then, when using Shrink or DVD Rebuilder does it kick in automatically and run at max speed?

Thanks, I must have missed those posts.

Is it better to use the K8 Cool'n'Quiet drivers for the motherboard or the ones of the AMD website?

i know, you have mentioned it before

but because asus is the company behind asrock your drivers might be just as bad as the ones for my asus

nwg, definitely enable it-- will extend the life of your investment & save you a bit on the power bill

definitely use the AMD drivers-- mobo manufacturer ones suck

correct; it adjusts core/voltage (up to 30 times per second iirc) to meet the current load

Is that a process then, that would allways be running in the back ground, and also load at startup?
