Hi Anonymez & Chewy,
Thanks guys ...
Chewy, I was thinking of Laptop ... and the only one that still offers laptop with XP is DELL ... and I sure as heck WILL NOT pay twice as much for a Dell when I can buy one from HP or someone else for half of the price.
Thanks,

I had no problems with it after I did a little tweaking...basically turning off the sidebar and the orb fixer (can't remember the name of it), but it worked just fine and didn't seem to tax my system any more than usual. I just got tired of the black theme thingy, now I'm running a Mac OSX skin which is clean, sleek and sexy.

Hi guys,
My buddy had run me the wrong path ... I thought he had a software that would Convert Vista back to XP ... and I would have been interested in that.
But now I am thinking the heck with that too ... since it might clubber the Windows Registration code then I will be out of luck for any automatic upgrades.
Also my Buddy was wrong ... he never had Vista to begin with ... his brother just had reinstalled an XP and put the Vista TP6 pack that Loco mentioned to make it look like Vista.
Hey Loco ... did I undersatnd you correctly and you are using a "Mac" skin on Windows OS!?!?
Thanks,

You cant do the CLEAN installs with an Upgrade Edition, as I tried that too, its polites installs then asks you to buy a full version later
The link above workaround really makes a mess of the OS but it does work
Best bet is to buy an OEM-Vista Flavor as these are full versions cheaper than the upgrade edtions check newegg out
Yes MS is being a real PITA with the whole Upgrade B$
