well this is going to be complicated, I suspect you have a memory problem(ram), the 128 meg stick is not reporting in the spd tables, pull it from the computer.
the cpu is running hot, have you cleaned out dust lately?

so i'm gonna have to lose the ram and buy anothr stick? my comps pretty dusty i'll give a clean

not yet i couldn't find my electric wrist thing(the stops components from breaking)but when i find it i'll take it out.

I pull and insert a lot of ram, never use any static protection, just common sense. Don't touch or handle contacts.

OK i've taken out the ram and i've still got the prob(the ram was a bastard to take out)i'm getting pretty tired of this problem

I am about out of ideas, the only other hardware left would be the cpu,
it's possible you may have fried(cooked) it. If a music cd plays but an mp3 screws up then I would wonder about that duron?
