    sata and ata hard drive?

    is sata and ata is the differrent in the connection of the 80 pin and power?

    SATA connector is definitely different from the ATA one.

      Yes the SATA data cable is only I think 7 pin the power connectors are different also

          sata and ie are different in both ways:

          data cable as well as power cable


          your picture, shifty, shows an sata POWER cable and an ide DATA cable ^_~


          here's the corresponding sata DATA cable:



          another difference is quite obvious:
          ide can hold two devices per cable, sata needs one cable per device
          so make sure you're future mainboards are well equipped
