    How to convert Mini DV to DVD?

    Hi,all
    can anyone tells me the way to convert mini DV to DVD?
    I buyed one (Sony Handy-Cam) for my family's party last month.

    I'm totally new for Mini DV Camcorder,so any info. and suggestion will be appreciated.

    Install a Firewire card(if u don't already have one) in ur PC.Then import the video from ur Handycam using a Firewire cable.Use WinDV( a freeware capture software) to capture in DV-AVI format.

      You can use DvdDecrypter to rip to your hard drive as an ISO or in file mode. Then you could use Nero to join about 3 discs on to one DvD. You can also create titles and chapters if you want. I have not done it yet but you could follow the guide for "joining a flipper" in the Shrink forum and that should work also.

            Yes it is a good guide for transfering "tapes" to Dvd, provided you have a stand alone Dvd recorder. And I suppose it would also work for mini Dvd's in a similar fashion, but all you will have is one continous stream of video. If you use DvdDecrypter to rip (not necessary, but i like it for ripping) and Nero vision express to burn you can create menus, chapters, and even edit if needed. I guess it depends on what your archiving goals are.
