Vista Beta 2

Did anyone here give windows Vista Beta 2 a try? I played with it for an entire weekend last month but had too many hardware compatibility issues. Aero interface was pretty to look at but it was pulling 600 megs of RAM just idling.Couldn't even try doing any backups due to Nero not working with Vista.

As far as I am concerned, you can throw Vista beta 2 out the window, and the forthcoming stable versions, (if that is possible) and replace with any version of XP, in order of preference professional, home, media center.

You really need a upper end dual core with about 4 gigs of ram and a 500$ video card to take full advantage of the OS. MS is just getting ready for the future, I figure in about 3 years I'll upgrade to it.

Glad to hear you say that Chewy. I figure no point in having it until the bugs are worked out, which will be a long time as we know from other OS's. Also, I was thinking why have it unless you can take full advantage of all the bells and whistles.

I will wait and hopefully get to use an ever better XP version before I try Vista!
