I wonder if the X2 4400 will come down? I feel a bit depressed with these price drops. My 64 3700 back in February cost me £30 more than the new price for the X2 4200.
I suppose there isn't difference between the X2 4200 and 4400 to worry about.Comment

Which mobo would you pick ? Need to upgrade a PIII 500, think I can get away with 350w PS, case is 5+ yrs old.

From what I have seen in the UK. The 754 are the AMD Semprons and AMD 64 up to 3200 (it maybe 3000). Anything higher requires at least a socket 939. I went for a 939 board so I can get a X2 chip later on. The new ones are AM2 which are also requires DDR2 memory.Originally Posted by AlienX69

@Chewy with regards to the PIII 500, it's almost like junk I use it mainly as a backup and for my 6yr old son .... except now the games (Zoo Tycoon 2) and interactive childrens stuff my wife gets at the library don't run on it too slow. BTW: I don't play games either on the AlienX box, cheapo vidcard as well ......Comment
