Can anyone tell me where I can download the DIB Full Frames codec. I'm trying to play an AVI file and I don't get any sound and "Video Inspector" tells me that I need this DIB codec. Tried several sites like AFREECODEC, but it's either not listed or there is no download available. Any Ideas please.

I think we need to know more information, I did a quick search and am finding that DIB is more of a type of codec rather than a codec itself. What are you trying to use to play this .avi? For example:
Microsoft Color WLT DIB
Compression Code or FourCC Codec ID: CWLT
or
Creative Labs YUV
Compression Code or FourCC Codec ID: CYUV
so depending on what you are using will determine what DIB codec you need
