error upon bootup need your input !!!

right when i boot it up on the very first screen top it says bios and then its checking the other componets i suppose at the bottom instead of moving on to the log on screen it say

Hardware monitor found on error enter power setup for details
F1 continue F2 to enter setup
    6/20/2002-I845-P4B-LX

i press F1 and it logs in and everything "seems" fine

one other thing since i put this new video card in the screen blacks out and says no signal every once in awhile is that bc of my weak ass PS. got a new one on order. thanks jj
p.s. the previos PS i order was DOA how bout that huh.

bootup really tests a power supply, spinning up all those fans, energizing the motherboard, capicitors, hard drives take a lot to hit 7200 rpm

really so it probably is this pos power supply its the factory like 230w i think

like i said i ordered a thermaltake but it was DOA my luck so waiting for that i figured that had something to do with it is that why the screen loses signal to i got this big new screen new case with lights and display and biggers video card you think that old PS is just overwork??

I went to hardware monitor and it says power fan speed N/A

it must have been a very good 230 watt, most would just die overloaded like that.

            Same problem with boot up

Did the power supply fix the hardware monitor error message?
I have the exact same problem with a i845-p4b-lx board.
It seems to be fine after bootup, no flashing screen.
Seems like the broadband connection is erratic though.
I dont like the idea though that the power supply may be going bad and would like to know for sure if that may be a problem though before it does fail.

            Thanks Niel
