PC And External Hardwave Getting Hot

    Hello.

I'm sure I have an idea about the cause but I want to ask anyway encase I'm wrong. First, I vaccum the back of my System Tower where the fan is. Sometimes my PC gets hot and my DVD burner does, too. When I take a disc out of my D-Drive or my E-Drive and my E-Drive is my DVD burner, the disc are hot. If they were any hotter it would be like taking a pizza out of the microwave. I'm also wondering if the heat corrupts the discs.

    Many thanks.

    Darren.

the speeds on the DVD burner are probably extremely high causing the friction to produce a lot of heat. Just a little physics there for ya. lol.

That doesn't sound right at all. Why not run Everest & check your temps with it?

      regards, katz
