Hi to all
I want to upgrade a few things on my desktop computer (motherboard, memory, hard disk, fans etc. I`ll keep my new Nec 3550 dvive and perhaps the case ).
I use the pc mainly for video encoding and photo printing, for internet sure too...
I`m a little confused on the choice of the processor. At the same amount of money (200$) there is a Pentium D at 3GHz dual core with 4mb cache and the Core 2 processor with 2mb cache at 1,86Ghz. For video it has been written we want dual core , we mean any dual core or the Core 2 family? The cache isn`t important? What`s the diferrences between the two families?
There is an offer from Intel, a motherboard and a cpu 1,86 mhz at 360$. It must be a core 2 processor?
And for theoretic discussion I saw there is a new family, Xeon, what do you think for them?
