    Computer Freezing

I currently got an LCD tv and wanted to hook it up to my computer. So I had to get a new video card (because my crappy onboard video didnt have dvi). So I went and purchased a PCI not PCIE because thats the only slots my computer had. It is an NVIDIA Ge Force 6200 with 256meg. Now the thing is any time i try to run dvd shirnk my computer freezes up. I have tried the updated driver for the video card that still didnt help. Now by freezing up i mean slowing way down and when i put the pointer over a icon or window the whole thing disapeers and then slowly reappears. What can i do i really need some help. THanks in advance

no i am not running dual moniters just straight to the tv but the card is in the bottom pci slot also when i boot up it says that the mutiple sli is disabed. i bought a cheaper video card earlier and i wasnt satisfied with the quality and it worked with the ati card but since ive installed this one it will not work. i tried using rip it for me and it got all the way to analyizing when it finished the computer started to freeze again.
