Should i get an ide controller ?? what is the difference between that and the one i use on the mobo. I just have 2 burners on 1 cable and 2 HDD on another cable??

If you're not adding h/w, why bother? All drives are "in the box" anyway.

I bought a few and none of them work right, get new board that have more connection is better

or ask Chewy for right one for your board

If you wanna add more storage space, why not I have 2 Maxtor Sata/ATA 150 PCI controller cards in 2 of my boxes that work great on 2 old MOBOs. They let me add up to 2 SATA drives and 2 PATA drives in each box

I just added one to my computer and it definitely sped up access to the hard drives. I have 3 hard drives and one burner. Chewy just educated me on this issue, if you scroll down to the thread "General Computing/ "Still using IDE hard drives " you can read some interesting information.
