partioned drive and i hate it!

ok guys
I let a friend of mine talk me into partioning my hard drive and i hate it, i need to reformatt so whilst im doing it i want to get rid of the partion on it and have just one big fat space i can work with, can anyone help.

Ok guys,
thanks a heap, i have got to the "deleting the logical dive in the computer management part and it says that that part of the drive will be gone, i did this once b4 and thought i had lost half my drive my question is will this part of the drive intergrate with the "c:" drive? or will it go into ruddy cyber space somewhere?

Your data/progs will go to cyberspace, I think.

Try Partition Magic. Dunno if there is a free trial period, but I think this prog will non-destructively move/delete partitions.

There's also some partition stuff on The Ultimate Boot CD that might be able to do it non destructively.

Whatever you use or do when ya get rid of the partition(s) back up anything ya don't wanna lose. I prefer partitoning so I can keep the OS partition lean and mean and keep all data that I can off the OS partition. This way in the case of having to reformat the OS partition for any reason, the data that has to be movied or copied is at a minimum. It also makes it easy to back up important data.

OMG help! im missing half my hard drive

Hey guys
1stly i just saw that this site advertises peoples birthdays so a big happy birthday to all celebrating one. Now to my problem.... my last post was reguarding my partioned hard drive that i dont want.....i took someones advice on deleting it thinking this would intergrate it into my C: drive ....lol... but now i seem to have missplaced it so im now missing half my hard drive ...lol.... I downloaded Partion Magic and i can see it but of course you have to but the program so it will do it ....GGGGRRRR! so can anybody help me regain the missing half of my hard drive before i throw my computer out into the parking lot!....

you should see your unpartitioned space, can create a partition, but you can't merge, I don't support it myself, for good reason, when it screws up,
you are toast. Just play around, it's fairly simple.
