Scanner is giving me poor results!

Notice the lines in the picture. I am using Microtek's latest drivers (Scanmaker 5900)

Setting is for "Tru Color". What am I doing wrong?

Try scanning at a larger resolution or a larger size picture than you need and then resize down to the size you need the picture to be.

Change the resolution of the scanner or rotate the picture a little in the scanner. That looks like Moire from the original artworks screen interfering with the scanners screening.

Thanks for the help guys! I looked over the scanner settings really close, & changed the "original" (source), & "purpose" settings. Seems that this scanner is real particular about those.

Mu scan now looks very close to the original, at least close enough to satisfy me for a backup copy!

        regards, katz
