    it can't hardly read a compilation if you didn't tag the mp3's

    you have to save the track list when you make the cd

    try to duplicate what you did earlier and it should work without reburning

      chewy,

      All my mp3s are properly tagged.
      you have to save the track list when you make the cd
      I save the compilation for future burning, if that's what you mean.

      Let me try to clairfy further; If I insert a burned CD, which I have saved the project for previously, & I open Coverdesigner to make a label at this time, the track list will not show up, no matter what I do. That's my problem! If I don't make the label right after the burning process, the track list will not show up.

      As I mentioned earlier, the odd part of this is, other software (expired) will do this for me. I am not trying to argue with your instruction, but I feel that I am following what you said to do, & it is not working for me...

      I must be doing something wrong with this software, I just can't figure out what it is.

        open that saved project up like you are going to burn another cd

        then use the make cover button/command

          I will try that.

          Also, another question; Can I change the font size in the track list? Again, I have looked all over the place & experimented to no avail!

          (seems that my Roxio wasn't this difficult for me to work with!)

            that was the only thing easy cd ever did right, except all my saved album inserts would not import into a higher version

            highlight the track list then change default

              In my Vers. of Nero Coverdesigner, I am unable to highlight the track list. I can double click on the track list, get into the properties, etc., but I see nothing that allows me to change font size.

              But I did find that I can change sizes by changing the "%" size of the tracks, artist, etc. in the properties box. Is that what you meant? By doing that to each field, I am able to manipulate things enough to get the complete song title to show without being cut off!

              BTW, my saved projects would not import to a higher vers. either. (with ECD Creator) Will Nero saved projects import to higher Vers. without problems?

                UPDATE:
                I have found that if I create the label immediately after burning the disc, I can import the full track list without any problems, except;

                I am trying to properly align text, & having an issue. For example, in this compilation, I want Track #, Artist, & Time to be printed on the label. My issue is this;

                I cannot seem to move the fields/create more space. What I am runing into, is some of the artists' names are being cut off by the time field. I have tried all the settings in the properties, such as alignment,(center,right,left) the percentage, which changes the size of the text.

                The result is that the whole track list moves when I change any of the settings, & I actually need to push just the track time over to the right, thereby leaving ample room for the Artist name in the center.

                Help!

                  that's where retagging comes in handy, after all there's not enough room for
                  all the info in a little jewel case insert

                  example the outlaws, a country band with willie, waylon, etc would takes up 30-40 characters listing their complete names

                  have you tried reducing the font size?

                    Yes Sir; I am doing that with the % field. I think my problem is something different, though. It's not that there isn't enough room, its' that I can't get the Track Times to move over to the right.

                    Any changes I make moves all fields, like they are all stuck together!

                      If ANYONE has a suggestion as to how to correct this problem, I'd Love to hear it; I have played with this program for several days, & I simply cannot get it to behave properly! It is not a matter of improper tags, etc., but the fact that I can't get the text/fields to edit individually.

                      The font sizes are fine, I just can't get the fields to move individually. When I try to move one field, they all move!

                      I guess I am missing something somewhere, but all I know is ESCD was 100% easier to manipulate, & accoustica also works just great, but I would have to pay for that one, so I am trying to make my (free) Nero do the job! Help!

                        Well, I have been beating this thing to death, & I can finally get the track list to work out, but it is a somewhat convoluted process. I guess I can live with that part.

                        My other question is this;

                        Since Nero designs the insert to be folded opposite than any other cd insert pgm. does, I have to put the cover art upside - down on the front of the label, so when I fold it for the case, it is displayed properly.

                        Is this "normal" for Nero Label, or am I missing something here too?

                          I have now been printing DVD Case inserts... Same issues as previous posts, clunky as ever! lol

                          Does anyone know if you can configure Nero to NOT print the black borders around text boxes? I've looked thru all the settings, options, & I don't see any way to not have this occur.

                          My main goal is to design & print custom DVD Case inserts (full size standard DVD movie cases), so if anyone knows of (freeware) software that will do this, please post!

                          I have found software that will do exact movie covers, but I am not interested in that; I want to be able to design my own insert.

                          I can pretty much do this with Nero, but not easily; It ends up being a convoluted several step process, involving; Paint, Irfanview, Nero, copying & pasting back & forth to get proper text sizes for the title, etc.

                            Will this work for ya?

                            I use memorex expressit 4.3, wich came with the startup package, including stomper (wich i no longer use, lol) for $9.95 at walmart. I just buy the refills and it lets me customize anything. Really easy to use.
