    What Does This Message Mean?

What does this message mean? I find it confusing.

    Many thanks.

    Darren.

the HD you try to save to is not NTSF, you can format your HD to NTFS but you will loose every thing that you have now on it

it appears your file system is FAT32, which among other things limits file size to 4GB. you can convert to NTFS without losing data, but it's always better to start afresh

      you'll need windows 2k/xp

I can't understand why because I was able to start a massive download at 45.09GBs without that message about a month ago. The download that I started tonight with that message, it is under the ISO file type. Does that ISO file type make a difference? Does the ISO file type cause that message? My external hard drive that I'm downloading into at the moment is 160GBs and I've only used about 55% of it.

              Many thanks.

I'll have to pass on that one because it would be traggic where it would take to long to back up on DVDs.

              Many thanks.

With another message, NightTran said I would lose data.

              Many thanks.

Even if you gave me the wrong information, no problem, don't worry about it. We all make the odd mistakes. The other day I went out and I got to the top of the path and realised I still had my slippers on and I had to go back indoors to put my shoes on. At first, I wondered why one of my neighbours looked at my feet in a strange way.

right-click your hard disk, click properties, and see what it says for file system.

                  Partition the drive

Copy the stuff to the new partition (NTFS), copy any stuff that don't fit to puter HD (temp) or DVD(s)..... then refomat the orig partition

EXAMPLE: If drive letter was F:, now you'll have a F: (Fat32) and G: (NTFS), copy F: stuff to G: and reformat F: to NTFS.
