How to include progs in Startup?

I have two programs which have mysteriously dropped out from Startup. One of these is a paid-for anti-virus program.

I know how to remove programs from Startup, but I don't know how to add them to Startup.

Any help please?

From the start button, navigate to your startup folder and open it (by right clicking on it and selecting open).

Also, navigate to the relevant program's folder that you wanna startup (eg the anti virus) and locate the correct exe file for the prog.

Right click on it and drag it into the Startup folder and select Create Shortcut here.

Thanks for putting me onto the right track, Blutach. However, your advice has turned into Ashes. Your method doesn't work with me here because there is no way I can drag an icon from the Program Files into the Startup Folder... the window simply isn't there for the icon to be dragged to.

But! Using lateral thought processes and a straight bat I've hit the problem for a blistering six right over the bleachers into the next suburb.

Answer: RightClick correct .exe file in (eg) ZoneAlarm folder - send to - Desktop (create shortcut folder) - go to desktop - R'Click icon - cut - open up Startup folder - R/Click field - paste... and voila!

(Please don't applaud. Just throw money)
