Help! Most of my videos are not working...

I have a lot of videos and most are not working on any player...its very choppy and unwatchable. Audio is unaffected. I have a relatively new pc and all of these videos were working before I wiped my pc and reinstalled everything. I have nimo codec pack 5 and k lite codec pack + some random others I found. I have run g spot and it says I have codecs for the videos. I dont understand why I am getting playback issues if I have the codecs, and they were working before so I know its not a pc speed or mem issue. Can anyone please help me?

Try them in VLC Player (free program, contains its own codecs for most formats). Sounds like you've got too many codecs. Codec packs are seldom a good idea, just load the ones you need. If they play ok in VLC, time to get rid of those packs.

Take my opinion and use "Media Player Classic" that comes with XP codec Package. www.xpcodecpack.com. I think you can download it for free here: www.free-codecs.com. This media player plays almost ALL formats. You don't need Quicktime anyone, cos it plays all quicktime movies too! Can there be a better player?

I would start weeding out some codecs that you don't need.
