Computer Restarts When I Try To Download

Has anyone had this annoyance before. My computer switches off everytime i try to dowload. I using nokia usb connection.Silly. Any ideas?

UncasMs, when I download on my desktop from the internet I get the usual window that makes you choose whether to run the programme or save it..


.when i click on any of this options my desktop downloads for like 10 seconds and it automatically restarts...just like that it restarts as if i pressed the button turnoff the computer...then it puts me back to the login page

I would run your virus scan and spyware programs sound like you are infected.
