Pc conflict with software...

I recently bought a JVC HDD Camcorder and the software that came with it is as follows.....Power DVD 5NE, Power Director Express NE and Power Producer 3 NE, when I load the disc into my PC and install the software everything but Power Director seems to load....I go into C/Program files/Cyberlink and Power Director is there in its own folder but when I got to Start/Programs it does not appear anywhere, I was wondering if there was a conflict with the program on some machines that you may know about could you let me know please.....

I also have Nero7 Reloaded on my machine, I spent hours the other day putting together a some video clips slidesows etc.....there was just enough space left on an 8.5GB disc to burn my project, towards the end of the burn I was told that the burn process failed and it gave me a log file, I tried it again and the same thing happened....Knightmare.......

I would love some answers to the above questions, all i want to do is make slideshows and put video files together, I'm gonna have a look at some Adobe software I think but would love to get to the bottom of the issues above.......

Have you tried re-installing Power Director Express NE and Power Producer 3 NE? If you never, try re-installing them. Remember to reboot after uninstalling them first and before you roboot, make sure there's no folders for the software under PRgram Files because some uninstalled software can leave the odd folder with some files inside.

Also, was you using your PC for surfing the net or using your PC itself while you was burning? If so, I know that can crash the burning. That always happens to me. Never use the PC when you're burning.
