everest home was what I used to monitor my overclock

I could see what my memory was running at, also liked it for the sensor report

OK I got everest, I'll do a lil more reading on OCing so I know what your talking about and how to do it.

The HT right now is in auto and lists 1-5
I found where to adjust the memory - Memclock Index Value (Mhz) is in auto at 400 now, I can adjust manually up to 333

Where do I adjust the fsb ? Thanks

In the BIOS under advanced:

1. CPU config
Dram Config is now in AUTO Mem clock index value (Mhz) 400
change it to manual and set to 333Mhz

Hyper Transport Frequency is now in AUTO chnage it to manual and it lists 15 and AUTO select 4

2. Jumperfree configuration
Overclock profile is now in AUTO
Chane it to MANUAL then adjust the X CPU Frequency from 200, up say 10 at a time til I get to 240 then maybe 2 at a time til I see how it reacts at 250 if I can get to 250.

use everest overclock to monitor what the memory is running at, the math for it gets hairy and it will not overclock stably on the 939 sockets, the cpu has an onboard memory controller and that's already pushing the ram

what kills the cpu overclock is usually the ram crashing

relaxing the cas settings on the ram so it can go higher just hurts your performance

it's a hell of a learning experience

sh1te! the mod for the cooler can run 2-300$
phase change drawing 300 watts power

I prefered the duron method of putting the heat exchanger(liquid/h2o) out on the window sill during the winter

Then he must be crazy sh1t I shoulda grabbed an LP O2N2 plant when I was working and used that for a cooler...the liquid O2 and N2 get reeeeeeeeaaaaalllllll cold

@Chewy - the 4000+ is chugging along right now 23% OC'd @2951MHz around 46C so far for about 3 hours running F@H with 100% CPU load. FSB right now 245.96, memory bus 196.78MHz CPU Core 1.47V

that's a little high for my taste, try to keep the case well ventilated with
lots of fresh air

those cpu's redline in the 60's, old xp's redlined in the 80's

your other temps will tell if the case is holding the heat in

did you bump the core voltage?
