DVD burner for $18?

I saw Chewy's thread on those Verbatims, and I came to thinking...

I made like 5 emails and signed up for Google Checkout on them all - plus I can make about 50 more using TK Email Forwarding if needed

First, I ordered 50 DVD cases, for -$0.55!!! I got $10 off of the $10.50, and then another dollar off, so I am basically getting 50 cents and cases for free.

Now, on the serious note, I need a new DVD burner, and that same site has some decent cheap ones.

Are any of those cheap ones good? Or do I need something more expensive?

Hmm, white faceplate? Is that changeable?

I think I will call Samsung and see if I can get a warranty replacement first.

I don't trust dvd burners like this. My choice is a NEC ~$35.
