    Check multiple outlook express accts at once?

    Does anyone know of a way to check multiple outlook express accts. at once? Either have multiple accts. open simultaniously, or a notification from any acct. when I receive mail?

    I need to monitor up to 4 email accts. on the same (comcast) server at the same time. It is a pain switching back & forth between all of them to check for new messages.

    Thanks much,

    I have the swedish version of Windows so the names are not translated right:

    Tools -> Accounts -> then select one account you want to include and click on properties and check the box in the last sentence of that window "Include this account when syncronizing and cellection of emails".

      Hmmm... I don't know cynthia...That box is checked by default in my O.E. settings. It just shows the one (main) account in the properties. I can't see anywhere that I can configure all (sub) email accounts to be monitored all at once.
      Am I missing something?

        Why not just add the accounts, then when you open say this one it can check on the other accounts and download to this one?
        Just click add on mail tab and set them up.

          Like ratboy said, add all 4 accounts in OE, set up filters to send the received mail from each of the 4 accounts to different folders, then do a receive all. When you are in each accounts folder then you can reply using that accounts email address. This is how I get email from all my web accounts in OE

            Sorry, I presumed that you had added all the accounts.

              No, I didn't realize that I needed/could do that, & my ISP never bothered to let me know. Actually, I asked tech support once & they said they didn't know how.

              At any rate, I have added the extra accounts now, & as jm suggested;
              set up filters to send the received mail from each of the 4 accounts to different folders, then do a receive all
              I am in the process of doing that.

              I can't believe I was doing it the hard way all this time!

              Thanks to all!

                Ok, had a chance to set up mail filters, guess I did something wrong; I set the filters to receive particular mail in specific folders, but the mail for all the email accounts is still going into my main inbox, not the folders that I created & specified.

                    That is exactly how I did it; just like in the screen shots.

                      I have multiple identities created; this is not the cause of the problem, is it?

                        It shouldn't be. OE is created in such away that multiple accounts with various rules can be handled..Can you do the following :

                        send from a webbased email ( such as Hotmail) an email to your self after you have created a rule for this particular adress.
                        Can you tell me how many rules you have created so far?

                          Outlook Express -> Tools -> Message Rules -> Mail...

                          Mail Rules -> New...

                          1. Set the Conditions for your rule: Where the message is from the specified account -> 2. Set the Action for your rule: Move it to the specified folder -> 3. Rule Description: "specified account" (select) -> "specified folder" (select) -> 4. Name of the rule: "Mail Sorting" (or whatever you want)

                            This is so odd; I am certain I have it all set up correctly, but when I receive new mail, it is still going into the Inbox, not the specific mail folder. I have 5 rules set up, so I am sure to catch the message if not all rules apply.

                            The folder is in the inbox tree, just like the other folders are, all is spelled correctly... I am stuck

                              Post a pic of one of the rules you made if you can, so we can see what you did. It works beautiful for me for 1 account each from 4 different web based email accounts
