I've recently been having problems burning DVDs - I use DVDshrink and the encoding part goes fine but the burning seems to always fail. I've noticed that if I use rewritable DVDs it works, so I'm thinking the burning speed is the problem... am I right? what can I do?

looking in the first primary IDE controllers, it says not applicable for device 0 and 1, in the 2nd first primary IDE controllers, it says ultra DMA mode 5 for device 0 and not applicable for device 1. However, in secondary IDE controllers, there is one place where it says PIO only instead of DMA if applicable, should I change that one?Comment
