    USB driver needed for win98

on my old laptop with win98, when i insert my 32MB flash drive it says it has no drivers for it. is there one out there for this thing? i've tried one "generic one" and it looks like it was made for win 98SE.

Who is the manufacturer of the flash drive, maybe they might have a driver? Just an idea.

There are some drivers on this page:

it was a long shot since microsoft didn't even provide the usb support with SE
after the fact, 98 1st edit was a completely different OS in many ways.

pretty sure most of the drivers are only for SE

I think those old Toshiba's had a proprietary USB port on them.
                      Try driverguide here:
Toshiba driver. Toshiba USB Drivers. () This site maintains listings of USB drivers available on the web, organized by company. Includes links to useful resources.

Or use the old original Win95 SR2 drivers here:

You could pickup one of those external parallel ZIP drives for almost nothing these days. It does have a printer port right?
Does it have a hard drive?
                            Is it CGA video?

dunno, dunno, dunno and don't care!

my wife uses it to type documents when she wants to escape the cigar smoke, then uses floppies to transfer from there to her pc. i keep telling her it's a piece of sh!t and get a new one. i have a 4GB flash drive but thats mine, so i gave her the 32mb one. would have been nice if it could have worked. frickin computers. i quit with this. should be able to plug it in and go, not piss around with all this driver business. dang, some thing are better left smashed. might as well smash the 32MB flash drive too since i got no use for it now!

btw it has a whopping 4GB HD!
