if you had used clipboard and pasted as I specified in my link it would have been better

gear/sonic and incd have hosed your bus

I would be more than interested to know the outcome of this as you seem to have lost all native xp drivers also???

Chewy - what do you suppose caused this mess in the first place? An iffy driver from a "junk" program?

all programs involved with ripit4me worked fine, First few burns were a little iffy, now seems to be working great

what about a system restore to the day b4 this happened?

did windows reload the native drivers for the bus?

                      more than likely

for this thread to help a reader we need to fill in the gaps, not with quality scans, but some information, this problem is fairly common and very perplexing

many buy another burner or reload their OS needlessly

Usually ending up with the same mess sooner or later

tell me what info you would like

that's why I was wondering about a system restore, if I were to do that, and not run incd clean tool, would i still get the same problem? did incd have anything to do with it?

I haven't tried some of the other programs that I have installed to see if they work or not

could you list the steps in order that you used to reenable dvd burning

incd was never intended for windows xp

I went to the link that you provided, did a little reading on wich code error I received, downloaded the Guided Help program, ran the the program, restarted my pc and ran ripit4me. All worked fine.

The Guide does state that you should uninstall any burning software such as nero, roxio, sonic, etc. And reinstall them to assure proper functionality. I didn't do that with ImgBurn and it worked fine. I have yet to try nero or sonic.

Since the ripit4me process seems to be working fine, I beleive I will avoid a system restore. If any other programs have functionality issues I will just uninstall them and do a clean install.

would you be so kind as to post a new bus log

nero might be safe if you just load the basic burning rom but stay away from incd

take sonic and give it to your worst enemy
