How to find out DVD burner brand on laptop?

I have an Acer Aspire AS9410 laptop. How do I find out the make of the built-in DVD burner for ImgBurn bitsetting? Thanks!

        ImgBurn says:

        "TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632D"

Any idea what brand that is? Thanks!

gonna be hard to tell if it's the toshiba or the samsung version without the firmware, but trying a burn and seeing if the new imgburn will bitsett is always the best test

I managed to change bitsetting under "Samsung". I'm burning a DL right now and it's been working so far. Fingers crossed...

You might want to check this link if you are using the latest version of ImgBurn, it might interest you.

the true test is with a single layer dvd+r as almost every modern burner autobitsets dvd+r dual layer, even the nec's

Success with +R DL. The disc verifies OK and plays fine on my standalone DVD player. Thanks!
