Lost video playback x getting rid of ace mega Codexc pack

Hi,
I installed Ace Mega Codexc pack for windows Xp
It caused lots of problems I tried to delete it wouldn't, I tried system restore, it would not restore.
Now I have no video playback on any media programs, (quicktime, realmedia and windows media player) and everytime I try to start one of these programs to try and watch video I get Ace Mega trying to start up.
I deleted media player and reinstalled medial player 11, made no differance.
My two problems are getting complely rid of Ace Mega and getting my video playback back.
Any help would be appreciated.

Codec packs can really hose a system. You can probably still watch video by using VLC player or Media Player Classic. Free-ware and totally self contained. There are also Real and or Quicktime Alternative if you need real or quicktime.
