Problem after using Sonic Record Now

I have Sonic Record Now 7.3 and have used this to make copies of Cd's and already decrypted DVD's that I own. Lately after making a copy of a copy of a DVD I'll hit the X to close out of Sonic. It appears to close down ok. When I try to shutdown the computer completely I now get three differenty scripts saying This program is not responding giving the chance to cancel or exit now but you may lose unsaved data. You know the routine. The windows that I keep having show up are GDI+ window, Shell icon Hidden wi..... and Sonic record now exe. Each one of these windows show up and each one give the options to cancel or exit now. One shows up and when you exit, the next shows up and so on. Any ideas how to avoid this as it is aggravating. After exiting all three the computer shuts down o.k.
I have tried to completely uninstall Sonic and then reinstall but it didn't do any good. I don't know if there is a clean tool for Sonic Record Now 7.3 or not.
    thanks for your help snagel

      re: Chewy

Chewy would this be the Filter Drive Load order? If after using this is it safe to reinstall Sonic or would the problem be on going. I haven't had this problem at all until just recently but not really sure how long to be accurate. Woud sonic be the reason for the GDI+ window and also the shell icon hidden wi...... also.

you probably have some other versions that are raising heck with it or it's horribly corrupt

I found that guide from nero at wiping sonic drivers but it's intended to get nero to work

I would run them all and if you insist, reinstall sonic

edit: you'll need to ignore the nero parts

Chewy, is that the Filter Driver Load order listed under tools in ImgBurn.. I uninstalled and run the roxiozap.exe you listed above. It asked about removing Easy Cd creator 4 or 5 I still said yes and run it. It still didn't remove the the shell icon nor the sonic Record now exe. scripts. I still have to press exit now to shutdown the machine.

Did you go to control panel and uninstall that roxio software?
If you do everything I reccomended you might stand a chance of getting it off and reinstalling. It's some of the worst software ever written, I would not install on my computer for love nor money.

Chewy yes I followed your advice and did go to control panel add/remove programs and removed Sonic.
Chewy, what software do you use and what do you recommend to use. I have Nero but haven't used it much for just copy to copy as I kind of got used to Sonic before I started using Nero. About all I used the Nero for was ripping MP3's and Recode.

nero is great for audio and I do use it out of habit for video, imgburn is better
for video once you learn to use it right

took me a while to get used to the different interface but I have tweaked it to do what I need and it's now faster and easier to use than nero
