    Comparing T5500 & T2050 & 2 Fujitsu Laptops

    Hi folks,

I was searching the net for an answer ... to see which of these 2 Fujitsu Laptops should I buy ...

I will be using this Laptop basically to do Video and Video editing and so forth and may be run some games (but not heavy duty games) ...

    - Fujitsu Lifebook A 6010
(BTW, I found out not all A6010 are the same in Specs).
Specs on this one: Intel "Centrino Duo" T2050, 533MHz FSB, 1.60GHz, with 1GB RAM for $836 out of the door. This is a clean re-furbished unit.
This unit runs with Windows XP Media Center.

Also I found out that Fujitsu uses 2.5" Hard Drive with only 4200 RPM vs standard 2.5" drives at 5400 RPM.
So, I would appreciate your feedback on this also.

    OR ...

    - Fujitsu Lifebook A 6020
Specs on this one: Intel "Core 2 Duo" T5500, 667MHz FSB, 1.66GHz, with 2GB RAM for $1250 out of the door. This is a new unit.
This unit runs with Windows Vista.

Q: Also, I would like your input as to if I should go with Windows XP vs. Vista since I hear Vista has a lot of incompatibility issues with various programs and drivers?
I wonder if the programs that I use like RI4M, PGCedit, VobBlanker, DVDShrink, DVDDecrypter, MEnuShrink, AutoGK, AVI2DVD, Super, ... would work with VISTA!?!?!?

Also, I was trying to keep my cost around $1000 + or -. If you folks think I should go with some other Brand to do what I want ... please let me know.

Pleaaaaase, make your responses not too Techy ... since I am not that computer savvy ... just know enough to be dangerous to myself and others.

    THANKS,
    G!
Working...
