    nero cover and cd info

Nero retrieves the CD info from the freecd site (I think) but sometimes the
CD info is not there. However (and in a recent case) the info was on the
site where windows media player gets it's info. Short of too many cut's and paste's can I get that info into Nero cover maker.
    Thanks

    Hi ticklj

Nero Label Designer can be a pain to work with, but if you open it & design the label after the burning process, click on "insert track list tool", Nero Label Designer will read the info. from your burned CD.

You can also save the project at the end of the burn process, re-load the saved project at a later time & Label Designer will read it. It is a good idea to make sure all your files are properly tagged.

    Good Luck, katz

thanks but the reply does not seem to be related to my question. When Nero goes to the net to get the disk info
materials the response is that "not here" this is likely from
cddb, But Win Media does get the info. Clearly the MS
file has stuff that CDDB does not. I would like to get the
into Nero without retyping it. If all else fails I could write
a Perl or awk program to extract the info from the
WMA file but if one already exists or if there is a program
that can go to the MS file it would be better,

I get that all the time too. That is why I posted the response that I did. It is pretty much the only way I have found that seems to work.

If you follow my above post, there is not any "cut & paste" or retyping work involved.

Actually Nero (and CDex) use freedb.freedb.org, and not cddb. WinAmp uses CDDB so if CDex can't find an album I'll sometimes rip with WinAmp Pro. WMP probably also uses CDDB. CDDB is a subscription service, freedb isn't.
