    Is it safe to remove Java updates?

    Is it safe to remove old Java updates from my computer or does one build upon the other?

      I remove the old ones every time and no problems with that.

                  Running the newer 6.0, I noticed much faster boot times under XP. Probably because it runs on start up on my PC (needed for WebScheduler).
