This weekend I had my grandson again and he is coming back tomorrow. And I had my laptop die on me Saturday Fedex to pick it up Monday or Tuesday.
If I lose my membership I'll listen to the meetings thru a window I was only on Step 2

Chewy - it's alive The M2V-MX mobo has a different bios for overclocking then the A8N5X has. Gotta look at it before I attempt anything. Looked at it briefly and the quickest it will go is 240.
And what is another good program to use. Everest 2.20 only reads the HDD temp and doesn't report the memory timingsNot registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums

On the screen it say for the fsb on the right side the help it says 200-240 but playing with it, you can go higher. The BIOS looks weird to me compared to the A8N5X. The link for the mobo manual is http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...826_m2v-mx.pdf
I got Lil Danny coming tomorrow so I wouldn't be able to tinker until tomorrow night And I got a big point F@H SMP WU running I lost once already I want to finish first. I wouod like to get this build humming. Not registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums

@Chewy - thats what the book shows but when I get to it in BIOS it shows auto and when I select it I see auto, limit and manual. When I select manual all that shows for the memclock values is options 400, 533, EDIT 667 and 800. Should I make it limit and select 800. On the right hand side it says, Select the DRAM Frequency programming method. If auto, the DRAM speed will be based on SPDs. If Limit, the DRAM speed will not exceed the specified value. If manual, the dram speeed specified will be programmed regardless.
Thanks again for the helpNot registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums
