My Brisbane Build with the help of Chewy

OK Chewy standy by for heavy rolls The Brisbane came today but no mobo, it's due by the 26th.

I ordered the 2GB of OCZ Platinum and the Arctic cooler today.

The SanDiego build was buried in katz'z topic so I figured I'd start my own for the Brisbane dual core ......oooooooooooooooo I feel like I'm waiting outside the delivery room again

The mobo, 2GB RAM and the Arctic cooler came today CPU dropped right in..no bent pins. The cooler is a beast, really big and despite some of the reviews went on real easy. The OCZ ram sure is pretty looking I might hafta put in a light and plexiglass in the side panel

Hope to have it assembled and running by the weekend. I gotta decide which case to put it in...decisions...decisions.

I just used one of them online PSU calculators for the brisbane with a lil overclock with 2GB RAM, 2 HDDs, 2 DVD drives and 2 120MM fans and it came up with 243 WATTS. The 350 WATT Antec PSU that came with the 1650 case should handle it. Whatcha think??

that test would be extremely dangerous trying to hook up everything spread out on a table top, especially the 2-120 mm fans when they kicked on

It's been a while so if you could enlighten me, is the bench test when you drop it from a bench or when you drop a bench on it? inquiring minds, just have to know.

I coulda let Mrs Cause hold the fans (after she got dinner all cooked in case she lost a coupla fingers)

@soup - I thought I hadda go to a park and sit on a bench and do it

Couldn't you put a rubber strap around them & then clamp the strap to that park bench or the table?

Nah, it would be more fun to hear Mrs Cause scream when they kick on

                        @ Chewy, That would be a negative. @ jm1647 (LMAO) & I shouldn't but I am.

Edit: @ Chewy, I have watched somebody else do bench tests, no case but I have no idea on the individual stuff they were testing.

                            jm,

Good luck with the build, I will be watching. I am interested to see how the dual core system works out for you. BTW, just how many pc's do you need anyway?
