i was assured 4 lack of a better word that most pentiums until now have mmx technology. either that, or like you said they've been replaced.

i'm being lazy here, but do i need gimp 4 an avatar? or does it just enhance it's features?

you don't need gimp - it is just one freeware solution if you want to create an avatar from scratch yourself

you can as well use an avatar which you find anywere on the internet or you can use other graphic tools if you have alternatives

                          Dear BR7,

I want to add an avatar to a forum.
But there I am getting message that your avatar/image must be 250 pixel Widh and 250 pixel Hight.

                          This is about Youtube.
I already had this avatar there. But now its removed because of this problem. How can I get it back there?

This just means when you scale the image, both the height and width must be at least 250. If you can't find a larger version of the image to scale down to this size, then you will have to scale up (the avatar won't look as sharp though).

Google+ also has weird profile pic measurement requirements, had to use GIMP to scale it up but this way my face is blurry because it wasn't a close-up photo
