Hi, I was woundering if there is a way to put a DivX file onto a dvd-r or dvd+r and watch on the 360 or dvd players? Thanks!

The Xbox 360 Spring Update adds MPEG-4 SP support, and your DivX file may already be playable on it. More information on how to get video playing on your Xbox 360:
If your file doesn't play, try the following.
This guide uses TVersity to stream your DivX/XviD files to the Xbox 360 (doing realtime transcoding to WMV):
This guide shows you how to stream DivX and XviD movies (as well as share photos and audio files) to your Xbox 360 using TVersity or Windows Media Player
Alternatively, you can also convert the DivX/XviD file to WMV:
This guides shows you how to convert your AVI/DivX/XviD file to a WMV file, with emphasis on Xbox 360 compatibility
Or convert the file to H.264:

And lastly, and this is for standalone DVD players as well, you can use DVD Flick to convert the AVI file to a movie DVD, which will work on the Xbox 360's or standalone DVD player:
