    Safari by Apple

I installed Apple's Safari onto my XP machine. It didn't work. The page loaded up with advertisements but I couldn't get the address bar to work. Basically it flopped. There were so many adverts it left little room for viewing. It could be something I did wrong but Mozzilla never did that. Anyone else try?

After removing quicktime from so many computers it will be a cold day in hades before this wookie tries that browser. Maybe apple turned over a new leaf but for some reason I am seeing a lot of computers having problems with itunes and ipod software installed. A buddy has a new mac laptop, it works fine if you like a slow 2400$ machine. He's had none of the malware issues I've had using IE and windows.

I'm sticking with Firefox, it never gives me any problems. I rarely use I.E.. I got nervous when I realized it installed Quicktime. It's all gone now.

            Safari slow

            I agree, is sucks.
I takes ages before it renders the site.
But it does load(starts up) very fast.

I Still like FireFox Much Better.

this is what happens to me.

Start Safari, and put in an address.
it is still trying to load, i get bored waiting.
I open firefox, and input the same address and there i go.
I am in the site. And Safari maybe finally finished loading.

Slow to render at least on startup. Very slow.
it gets better once it get warmed up.(but that warm up is a killer)

And I also agree with UncasMS, some site don't load properly at all.

In the news and tv, all they boast about is "it's twice as fast as IE" but neglect to tell the problems that go with it. It will be some time before a browser impresses me as much as Firefox.

Mac apps on Windows suck. Here's why

Shouldn't the headline read 'Apple releases new Root Kit, Safari'...After all the i-Crap and Quicktime resource thieving I ain't gonna try it.

Apple's software is buggy and slow under Windows. And a (for lack of a better word) childish move to keep the UI/"theme" of their programs the same as under OS X. I'm sure it works far better under OS X, and doesn't look so out of place either.
