Locked thread

I had my thread locked and though I better mention I was directed here by the dvd burning software that I have installed, ie I clicked on a link and it brought me straight here. It suggested this after I read through the help section.

So have the rules of this site changed or is there a glitch in the software and you should not have a link to this forum from the software?
