    After one week with this O/S - it still feels and behaves like a very early beta version.

      well im on sp1 beta and well it does shifted the OS from ***** as cynthia said to prety decent OS now.

      [regedit puts sp1 on windows update ]
      Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

        I just installed the August performance update that was supposed to fix installing the network printer and the thing with the "calculating time to..." on file moves. It did fix the printer install in so much as you don't have to manually create a virtual port. But I still can't monitor the ink levels across the Lan like I could with XP machines.

        On the file move "Calculating" dialog, it seems to be related to swapfile(at least when I ran with no swap the time lag went away) so I have to take their word they fixed it. On the plus side, I haven't noticed anything broken since I installed it.
