Hi folks. My HP 630c burner is getting tired, doesnt always read properly, bit iffy writing too. Any suggestions for a competent internal burner in UK ????? And will it fit same as original ?? Thanks ps, it is cleaned regularly, but has burnt around 300 discs OK......

Your burner is as burned out as the English Rugger side Tony (which is marginally ahead of your cricket team!!!). Get prepared for a belting at the hands of the Wallabies.
I like LGs. Never had a bad burn with them.

DVD burners
Thanks Blu....I have LG external which is super. Think you are right so will get LG internal.....The old 'HP' burner is actually a SAmsung.....By the way, my old query re 'beeps' is cured, It turned out to be my US Robotics phone telling me it was on !!!!!! And stop pommie bashing !!!!!!!!!! Cheers.

DVD burners.
I know I'm a bit late with this, but just to say fitted multi format burner by LG, works super. Was VERY surprised to find HP had fitted original, it was Benq, not Samsung.
Is it worth keeping as a spare if cleaned thoroughly ??????Comment

Why bother Tony? If it is buggered, throw it away - drives are as cheap as these days.
Good luck for next week, though I think (and hope) the 'Boks beat you. Really upset you lot beat France AND us.
