Find SATA drivers for HP a1640n?

Trying to help out a buddy who can't seem to get win xp installed on his pc/sata HD. . Doing this over the phone is difficult enough, but we can't find the proper "press f6 to install raid or 3rd party driver" from hp's site. The only thing we find is the intel mobo drivers.

    Ideas?

I don't know - I think he is trying to install from a Windows XP disc. I can't ask him now, he went to bed.

But here is the original email from him...
I have been running Ubuntu for a long time on our main computer, but we need to reinstall windows now because of a program that my dad needs to run.
I try to use the windows install disk, but I get a "stop 0x0000007E" error, and I have come to find that this is because I need some SATA drivers (at least I think that is what it is) when I install.
Trouble is, this is a HP computer and I can't find the drivers I need on their website. I was talking to somebody on the support chat yesterday, and they were being helpful. I had to answer some very basic questions about the computer so she could find me the right drivers, but I had to go play a show and I ran out of time before I got what I needed. Today the chat support was down and I had to talk to somebody on the phone who was quite rude and unknowledgeable.

There is a link to the tech stuff on my compy. Can ya help me out (again!)

lol, well, I hope you weren't implying that it was me!

Actually, he was running ubuntu for awhile, I just met him a short while ago; I don't know much about the history of his pc.

Update: My friend was chatting w/ HP online tech support since I had a chance to talk to him last, & they had him download a file & make a slipstream install disc which is supposed to fix everything. I'll let you know how it goes; Thanks for your help, Chewy!

                    Borg Tux out for now...
