    computer restarting for no reason

yesterday my computer out of the blue just started to restart its self. prolly did it 4-5 times in a span of an hour. so i made sure everything was updated, no virus etc. so today it does it again. when you send the info to microsoft it says "stop error" is the cause and there isnt much to do? do you happen to know what might be wrong etc.

this will tell us where to get started

we need the sensor and overclock reading under computer

just the top parts showing details under quick report

no need for a lot of zero's etc

you will need to find someone that can understand that statement and help you with bios, sorry that's about as plain an english as it gets

this is one of the hardest things to do with computers, adjust bios, yours will be simple tho, read your manual

            all computers are different

No you need real in person help with your bios, there are guides already written on the internet if you want to google, adjusting bios is an advanced task and even tho it's not that complicated on a factory built computer it's better to have a "geek" do it in person. I am assuming part of your problems started with the adding ram to your computer.

why your multiplier for the cpu is set so low is puzzling?

                that's a 2.2Ghz cpu not a 1 Ghz one

almost anyone with a little patience and a good self help attitude can learn this stuff,
it's those with the "lead me by the hand" that will never cut the mustard

there's no magic advice, a professional just jumps in feet first and plays around with settings and adjustments till he gets it right

some of the most screwed up setups I have ever worked on have been factory built computers, dell, hp, comcrap, nec's etc

when I built my last new computer 2 years ago, using asus motherboard, setting bios to defaults, name brand premium ram, the computer wouldn't even boot until I went into bios and set the memory manually

so is the only way to mess with the bios is either get a real person or to find that info via google. you have been able to answer almost every problem that i have ever had chewy just never seen this side of you.

you haven't been into it and figured it out yet? It's almost impossible to lead someone
thru it over the telephone, tech help would know your computer, I gave up wasting my time on computers that don't even come with manuals detailing bios setups.

                        who added the memory?

i added the 2 512sticks on your recommendation. i ended up just reinstalling a version of xp. its not the same edition i did have but it works somewhat. i am still having the stop error issue every now and then.
