I was going to get the 8400, but being on sale for $199 US they didn't last long and I ended up with a Q6600. From what I've seen elsewhere the 8400 is a solid processor and can be O.C. to just under 4 Ghz easily.

Now the E8200 has increased in price too. New prices:

      E8200 - $279 (was $225 on Feb 1st)
      E8400 - $359 (was $259 on Feb 1st)
      E8500 - $479 (was $359 on Feb 1st)
      Q9300 - $497

If only I had bought a hundred E8400's in Feb, would have made a cool $10,000 in less than 2 month!

In comparison, the AMD CPUs are prices as follows:

      AM2 X2 6400 - $215
      Phenom 9500 - $219
      Phenom 9600 - $259
      Phenom 9600 Black Edition - $280
