Windows updates.

Hi....Can anyone tell me how to,
1. Get rid of IE7 so can still use IE6.
2. Get rid of windows updates I was foolish enough to install,
3. Stop/block updates already pestering me to install.

Note. IE7 stops me downloading perfectly legal items, ie BBC
Iplayer.. Had to system restore to get it. !!!!!

if ie7 can't be uninstalled thru add/remove programs you are stuck with it

show updates checkbox at the top of the add/remove window

then use FF to download stuff, IE are for suffing the site you know for sure only

You can use add/remove programs. Make sure you check the box that says show updates. Then IE7 will be displayed below. Now you can delete IE7 and IE6 will be on your desktop.

Thanks to you all, That seems to have done the trick, and having just got it I like Firefox...But why is it better ??????

It isn't IE. Mainly for being fully customizable (lots of good addons) and more secure (with No Script and APB very secure).
