I've got a 3 year old Averatec 3150h (Win XP Pro)that decided to stop rebooting, after several recent power outages( I'm in ChongQing, China) and now its not finding the OS, I've been thinking about Puppy Linux anyway. The current 40Gb HD had Windows on C partition, can I get the rest of my files from the other partitions. I'd also like to go to 80 Gb. I plan on getting a Chinese friend to take me to one of the Cyber-marts around town for service as I speak virtually no Chinese. Sounds like fun, huh? Any help would be appreciated...I can get the Averatec welcome screen and F8 still gets me to CMOS, where I can change things. As before, "Error loading operating system_" is as far as I can get. Happy Chinese New Year/Spring Festval!
