    sata hard drive question.

I have 2 IDE hard drives in my pc..
    Can I mix/match?
Meaning can I hook up a sata hard drive along with what I have now?

Sure; you may need to go into the BIOS to configure which you want to boot first; conversly, some BIOS on later pc's give you an option at boot to hit a certain key to select which HD you want to boot to in multi-boot OS configurations.

But if you are not doing multi boot, it is easy enough. Just connect up & all should work fine for storage drives.
    Hope that answered your question.

        thanks for info..
        btw:
someone brought up power consumption with having 3 hard drives, and 2 dvd burners...

        I have a 550 watt PS so I assume I'm ok..
        [if it's even an issue]
