Hi katz. yes it does it but when i capture it and then open up irfanview and paste it, the scroll bar is there. also when the scroll bar is gone in maximize I can't resize it using the cursor like Chewy suggested. If I crop it the side I crop will be left out like in that capture I posted. It won't be framed. I can't 4 the life of me figure out how I posted the shot of my task bar instead of the urls.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

Paste the pic into irfanview; Start in the upper left hand corner, hold down the left mouse button & pull the mouse over the pic. (You may have to select "crop" from the menu first. It is found under edit>crop) Doing it this way will allow you to select the actual part of the picture that you want.
After you have moused over the picture, then cut>paste. The newly cropped picture should now show up in the Irfanview window, only containing the area that you just selected or cropped.
I hope I explained that well enough. Sometimes it is hard to put these things into words that will make sense to others - sometimes it ends up easier to just show someone while they are looking over your shoulder. But stick with it, it's not that difficult, Irfanview is fairly user friendly.Comment

I've been trying to post the screenshot like I did b4 and I can't do it. Only the url can b posted. Also can't get rid of the scroll bar even if I maximize. when I open up in infarview it's there. only thing I was able to do was black it out. Can't show you other than posting url though. Why isn't it letting me post it as a thumbnail?SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

3 finger salute, click on processes, now let me open 20 programs so I can be like everyone else
scroll bar, let's get rid of it now, adjust the size of task managers window, make it neat, we don't need adobe master suite here
do the alt/prnscrn
open paint
paste
save as neat.png
click go advanced

If I remember correctly, you can get SnagIt (the last but latest version) for free. SnagIt is the best software to have to take a screen shot, it is highly versatile and has a hell lot of features. I got the free license from their site, check if it is still available.
EDIT
Checked out right now, sorry but the offer expired on 7th Jan 2008. They were giving away 7.2.5 version for free.
Anyway, if you need to take a lot of screen shot, it is always worth trying cause it is considered to be the industry standard. Otherwise for occasional use PrtScn/ALT+PrtScn +MS Paint should suffice.Last edited by src2206; 21 Mar 2008, 02:28 AM.Comment
